Day In The Life Session in San Francisco

Day In The Life Session in San Francisco

In your family’s life, what are the moments that have mattered the most? Are there moments that are forever tied to your memory? What if you had photographs of those moments? Imagine having documentation, and physical proof that those memories really happened.

What would it feel like to pass those tangible memories down to your children?

As a parent, you’ve realized that there is so much beauty to be found in the “ordinary”. There are times you look into a room, with your kids playing, and you wish that everyone else could see what you see. If only your kids could FEEL how much you love them.

Celebrating a 40th Wedding Anniversary with a Family Session in Rosemary Beach

Celebrating a 40th Wedding Anniversary with a Family Session in Rosemary Beach

Alison’s immediate family was traveling to Alys Beach to celebrate her parent’s 40th wedding anniversary. It was a time that everyone was going to be in one place together, celebrating an important milestone. What made this trip even more special is that a recent health scare had them thinking that their dad might not be making this trip. Luckily he was okay, but this was a big reason behind the need for making sure they had tangible memories from their trip. During the session Alison and I talked about how scared they had all been. How her dad was such a key part of their family and how much these photographs were going to mean to all of them. Not only for the kids, but as the grandchildren got older.

Searching for Yourself Doesn't Always Mean That You're Lost

Searching for Yourself Doesn't Always Mean That You're Lost

I photograph women at so many different phases of their lives.

Golden Ledge Telluride Wedding | Telluride Wedding Photographer | Shannon Griffin

Golden Ledge Telluride Wedding | Telluride Wedding Photographer | Shannon Griffin

This is one of those weddings that you don’t want to share because you’re holding onto it so tightly. I know that fellow photographers will understand this feeling. When Sutton, owner of the incredible planning company By Sutton, called me and said, “I have this incredible couple and I know you’ll be the perfect fit for them!”, I knew it was going to be a good one. She went on to tell me that they were having their wedding on Golden Ledge, which is a mountain in Telluride, Colorado. That’s literally all that’s up there…a mountain. That means that Sutton and her team completely build Julie and Chase’s ceremony and reception site. When I showed up the day before the wedding, to photograph their family champagne toast, my jaw hit the ground. I’ve never seen a ceremony site as beautiful. You had to walk through these gorgeous trees to get to it and it felt like magic. You’ll see in the photos bellow that this was a dream wedding, but what you won’t see is the way these two families love. I’ve never seen bigger cheerleaders for their children than Julie and Chase’s parents. Not to mention, the support from their incredible siblings. I wanted to be adopted into that family so badly.
