I am a big advocate for bridal boudoir. But, it might not be for the reason you’re thinking. While I think it can be a lovely gift for a spouse, it’s more about what it signifies for the one having their photographs taken. When I get an inquiry for bridal boudoir I want to make sure that we talk and are after the same ultimate goal. There is beauty in being strong and independent. That doesn’t have to change with marriage. It’s incredible to watch the session unfold. For those that thought it was going to be a gift for someone else, what they start to realize is that the ultimate receiver is themselves.Read More

Finding your wedding dress can be hard enough, but then you add in the task of finding the perfect accessories to go with it. I love using resources, such as Pinterest, to help give me style inspirations, but that can become overwhelming and cumbersome.
I think the best thing to do is keep it true to you and your every day look. For example, if you're someone who has a classic wardrobe, you might opt for a classic veil. Let's look at some examples of veils (and of course, you have to also choose the length and detail).
This one keeps it classic, but I love the detail in the trim:
Here is a very thin veil. This style is one of my favorites because it is so simple that it doesn't take away from the dress. I feel that you could pair this veil with absolutely any style of wedding dress or even a gorgeous pantsuit. (Veil courtesy of Vocelles):
A classic mantilla is always beautiful and keeps with certain traditions (mantilla courtesy of St. Patrick:
Another classic look:
This floral veil was a showstopper!
Or, you can go with something off the wall and gorgeous, such as this creative veil from Jurgita Bridal:
Now, let's take a look at bridal headpieces. These are such a great way to add a little extra to your look. The great thing about them is that you can wear them with or without a veil. They bring this whimsical element that is sure to be a showstopper.
Here are a few examples of some favorites that I've photographed over the years:

These next two are hair pieces that look like flowers. I love how one bride used it as her "something blue"!
This bride opted for real flowers and the outcome is gorgeous!
If you don't want to wear any bridal head pieces, you do have other options. You can wear gorgeous statement jewelry, like the cameo necklace pictured bellow:
Or, you could skip all of the accessories and make a statement with your hair!
Whatever you decide, just remember that it's your wedding day and you should stay true to you.

Kaitlyn and Jacobie had their family and friends laughing and crying all throughout their wedding day. You could visibly feel the love that surrounded them. When I received their completed questionnaire, I noticed something special that they put under, "list 3 things that best describe the other". They had both said "supportive" about one another. Their love was radiating throughout the day and you could tell that they were each other's biggest fans.
This wedding is labeled Pretty-In-Pink Hammock Resort Wedding because...well...you'll see bellow. It was an overcast day, but that made the colors pop even more. We found a gorgeous pink staircase, where we photographed most of the portraits.
The night was full of dancing, singing, laughing, and celebrating. Everyone was on the dance floor for the entire reception. If only every day could be such a celebration!

Being Casandra and Andy's Carillon Beach wedding photographer is something I'll never forget. It was so full of love, warmth, joy, and dancing. Oh...the dancing! Casandra and Andy met during a night out and are really passionate about music and dancing, so much so that they flew in their own DJ from New York. These two planned their beach wedding all the way from Brooklyn New York. Peach and Pearl Events teamed with Myrtie Blue to create a gorgeous color pallet. Brian, of Myrtie Blue, and his team created a masterpiece of florals. The blush and greens mixed so beautifully with the deep purples. They turned the inside of the reception tent into an elegant reception for Casandra and Andy's closest friends and family. I couldn't keep my eyes off of Casandra's incredible cathedral length veil and metallic Prada shoes.
Casandra and Andy were kind enough to send me a little love:
"In one word – Shannon is PHENOMENAL! I live in NYC and therefore planned my wedding long distance in Panama City, FL. Shannon was very easy to work with and extremely patient with my planning questions. She was also super responsive to all of my needs. The day of the wedding, Shannon showed up early and ready to go! She was very relaxed and therefore made me and my family/friends comfortable in front of the camera. She went out of her way to capture beautiful pictures that I will enjoy for a lifetime. I thoroughly recommend her as a photographer for not just weddings, but any and all events! Loved her!"
