Breakers Palm Beach Family Photographer

When mom texted me out of the blue, "I have been so excited to text you!! I wanted to see what your schedule was like come June. I want to schedule some pictures with you and my family once the baby is about 1. I’m hoping to recreate a montage on our wall like you did, which is still the best investment we have ever made." I was beaming.

We've shared texts of inspiration and I've started pulling wardrobe ideas.

We will be doing most of our planning S L O W L Y while she is with her family on their yearly trip to Europe.

This is why I will never be a volume based photographer.

Families invest not only in me but also in their family memories.

I will never take that for granted.

Boudoir Is Art

Boudoir Is Art

My goal is to merge the women I photograph with the fine art they would hang in their home.

Living in such a beautiful place like Palm Beach, most of my clients are art collectors. But, for some reason there is a disconnect for many of them. They are moved by a photograph of a nude stranger, in their home, but the thought of the woman in that photograph being them is uncomfortable.

The Breakers Palm Beach Family Session Turned Into Legacy Wall Art

The first photograph is my client's wall after installation.

The second photograph is what I designed in my software.

My client said to me, "It's rare that you see something that is exactly how it looked from conception and you did that for us."

That is a magical feeling.

I'm really proud of this one. I'm most proud because of the text I received last night, from said client, "Shannon, our house feels like a home. Thank you, thank you."

I'm an artist and a big part of me is a narcissist at heart. I love the feeling I get when someone "likes" one of my photographs on social media. But, the truth is that it's so fleeting. After I post the photo, and it is liked by others, it is soon forgotten. These photographs will not be forgotten. They will live on in my client's home. Every day, when they walk downstairs, this is the first thing they will see. Sloan, their daughter, will see how much she was/is loved.

This is why I do it. The love this family will see for each other, every single day, that is my why.

It's Not What You Really Want

It's Not What You Really Want

Could I answer one email, show up and photograph you beautifully, and hand you digitals? Yes. So why do I have an entire process that takes weeks leading up to our session together? Why does it feel like I’m complicating something that could be so quick and easy?

Because quick and easy isn’t what you really want.
