Stop Missing Out On Your Family Memories | South Florida Family Photographer | Shannon Griffin Photography

Be in the photographs.

Think about the message your passing down to your own children that are looking up to you. If you constantly complain about your looks or not wanting to be in family photographs, what do you think that says to your children, especially your daughters. It’s going to make them question how they see themselves. It will put these ideas in their heads that women shouldn’t age. That women should feel guilt or shame in living their lives naturally and beautifully. If you’re at the place where you don’t want to be in photographs because you feel you have a few pounds to lose, you don’t like your haircut, you think you look to old, or whatever the case, I encourage you to put that all aside and get in those photos. You’ll be so glad that you did.

Is A Mini Session Right For Your Family | Palm Beach Family Photographer | Shannon Griffin

While I only offer mini sessions once a year, I think this is still an important topic to discuss. Throughout the year I get requests for mini sessions, but I feel that they aren’t always appropriate for most families. While it seems like it’s convenient, or it will save you money, in the long run I don’t believe that’s true. I’m going to make this in a list form so that it’s easy to read and simple to understand. Not that I don’t think my readers are incapable, but parents need things as quick and easy as possible these days.

Jupiter Beach Family Photographer | Admirals Cove Country Club | Jupiter Beach

Melinda is a fellow wedding industry friend, as she is an extremely talented florist. She and her family were visiting from New Jersey and decided they wanted to find a Jupiter Beach Family Photographer while in town. We decided to do the session at the gorgeous Admirals Cove Country Club. Bennett was just about the cutest baby and I had a blast photographing this gorgeous family!

Rosemary Beach Family Photographer | Bosse Family

30A is one of the most beautiful stretches of Florida beaches. It is known for it's white sand and breathtaking sunsets. It is no wonder that families come from all of the world to vacation here. I get a lot of calls and emails with vacationing families inquiring if we can set up a family session while they are visiting. It is one of my favorite places to photograph, as there are so many options other than the beach. We typically end the session on the beach, close to sunset, but start with taking precious photographs around the town. If you've never been to Rosemary, Alys Beach, or Seaside, it's like you walked onto a movie set. The architecture of the homes and restaurants is so perfectly executed. There are gorgeous walls that are filled with ivy, cobblestone streets, natural hued stucco, and just everything dreamy that you would want as a back drop. Then, you have the sunsets that look like watercolor painted across a vast, never ending sky. I love variety and Rosemary Beach gave us exactly what we were looking for.

The Bosse family was visiting because Rhiannon, mom in these photos, was attending a floral workshop. They decided to make it into a family trip and wanted to document this season in their lives, while in Rosemary Beach. When Rhiannon called me and asked if I would be willing to come to Rosemary, I jumped at the chance. The vibe on 30A is so perfect and I will take an excuse to head that way. It was truly an honor to capture such fleeting moments that they have with their son. I can't imagine a better career than to be a photographer, especially on the days that I get to be a Rosemary Beach family photographer.
