I can not emphasize enough how important it is to work with a photographer who will get you family heirlooms for your home. What I mean by this is someone who will take the time to sit with you, go over the photographs with you, look at your home, decide if an album is better, decide if a framed gallery wall is better, decide if you’re someone who really is better suited for digital files, etc. I am 100% of the mind that photographs should get off of your computer and onto your walls. I also work with my clients to make sure that’s what’s going to be the best fit for them.Read More

Nicky’s husband emailed me about setting up a breastfeeding session for his wife. Immediately I knew this is something truly special that I wanted to be a part of. There was so much love from him and he knew this is something that Nicky really wanted to do. It’s crazy to think that destination photography has gone beyond weddings, but it absolutely has. I like to let people know when I’m traveling for work or pleasure because more times than not, I book a few extra sessions. These are people that live in different parts of the world, but follow my work. It’s so neat to meet people, who have been supporting me through social media for the last few years. I also book destination sessions all on their own and will often times fly or drive to them.Read More
“Support small businesses”. This is something you see posted a lot on social media, or talked about in social settings. It really is every single client that keeps a small business owner afloat. Sarah Beth is one of those clients.
I’ve known Sarah Beth for several years. She first hired me to photograph a boudoir session of her, then her wedding, and again when she was pregnant with her second child. I got to witness her marry her loving husband and photograph her when she was carrying their child. Sarah Beth is a hair genius and has a lot of connections. I know that she could have very easily hired someone else for those events, but she chose me. She believes in my art and wants to make sure I flourish. This type of relationship builds my confidence, keeps me in business, and solidifies my decision to do what I do for a living. Not only that, but it allows us to build a trust. I’m able to show up and create art because I know that Sarah Beth believes in what I do, as she has hired me for three huge life events. She has become completely comfortable in front of my camera, and let’s face it, she’s a goddess (I mean, just view the photos).Read More
