Delray Beach Yoga and Coffee Branding Session

I wanted to get Katie to talk about why she did this branding session and what the experience was like. I’ve done headshots for a while, but the branding sessions have become a new passion for me. Katie and I started with emails back and forth, discussing her vision for this session. I made her two separate mood boards that were based off of our conversations. By the time the day came around, we had a solid game plan and it made the session so seamless and fun!

“I am 34. I am divorced. Where I am now is not where I ever expected to be, and that’s ok. I have learned a lot over the last few years; some of it reinforced what I love about myself and a lot of it showed me what I still have to learn. My goal is simple, to show up and be present. To be humble, grateful, open and authentic. To not take things for granted.

As part of learning more about myself, I dove into the things I was passionate about; reading and writing, looking at different perspectives, asking questions, and listening. I volunteered with kids to teach self-love and confidence. I got certified as a yoga teacher. I traveled and spent time with my friends and family. I focused on slowing down and appreciating things, connecting, and lifting others up. In doing these things, I also learned to do them for myself. I learned to look at myself differently; more kindly.

When the opportunity came up with Shannon to do a photo shoot, I thought “hell yeah, let’s do it!” We talked about my passions and what I love to do, how I feel, and what I wanted to get out of the session.

Not only was she professional and gave great direction, she was inspiring and uplifting, natural and easy. She made what can sometimes be awkward incredibly fun!  And all I can say is, WOW! She nailed it!

I expected to get photos out of this experience, what I did not expect, was to see myself differently. The way that she captured my love and light and passion, helped me see myself more clearly; what I want, who I am, and all the things I have yet to become. Thank you, my friend!

If you are considering pictures for any reason, Shannon is your girl! Please reach out to me if you have questions about my experience!”
