This wedding almost didn't happen. Hurricane Michael came through a few months ago and took out large parts of the northern, western coast of Florida. Small fishing towns, like St. George Island, were some of the hardest hit. Driving to Ashley and Keith's wedding looked like a war zone. Luckily, the home they were married at was not hit. The day was already an emotional one, but especially with toasts and tears being shed over the loss in the surrounding area.
Ashley and Keith wanted to keep the ceremony personal and full of meaning. They decided to write their own vows and also incorporated washing of hands with ocean water to signify fresh start, open heart and mind. My favorite part was both of their dogs as part of the ceremony, Lulu (Ashley’s side) and Jack (Keith’s side).
The reception was so much fun! These people know how to party. Keith even played with his band, while Ashley danced the night away. The day was just full of so much love and warmth, even though it was a cold day in florida, and the amount of sunshine that day just made the couple glow.
