This Georgia Farm wedding is one with so many special and personal touches. Alexandra received her degree in forestry and the outdoors are extremely important to her. So, when a close family friend offered up his farm for Alexandra and Zeth to get married, there wasn’t a doubt in her mind.
There are details from this wedding that will live with me forever. When Alexandra contacted me about photographing her wedding, one of the first things she mentioned was that her mother had passed away. She told me that her mom loved red roses and that there would be little touches of red roses throughout the day to remember her by. They placed red roses on the chair her mother would have sat in during the ceremony and then again at the reception. She also took a handwritten note that her mom had written her and got her handwriting embroidered on a handkerchief. Alexandra and her father had a very emotional first look with each other, as they talked about and remembered her mom. It was truly hard to keep my eyes dry throughout the day, but it was amazing how you could feel her mother in the presence of all of the family and friends that surrounded the couple.
It’s weddings like these that keep me truly humbled and honored that I get to do what I do for a living. Alexandra decided to leave me a review that I will cherish forever.
"Working with Shannon was by far the easiest and most natural part of my wedding planning and overall operations the day of. She is so genuinely kind and thoughtful. I informed her early on that my mother had passed away, and she immediately came up with ideas to incorporate
my mom within some of the pictures that day. They are some of my favorite photographs to look at over and over. To be honest, taking the photographs was what I was most nervous about. I am the type to quickly sneak out of a photo opportunity or offer to take it. Shannon
did an amazing job of making my husband and me incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. We looked like we knew what we were doing! She captures the portraits so well and without them looking forced. The reception photos are absolutely amazing. They are constant reminders of just how much fun that night was. I received many compliments about Shannon since the wedding, as well. My whole wedding party mentioned how easy and stress free working with her was, and all my guests absolutely love the photographs they have seen. I am so thankful to have found Shannon and to be able to relive one of my favorite days over and over again."
